What possibilities and business opportunities have the marcus evans Summits brought your way?
The Summits give us the opportunity to meet many international fund and asset managers in one place in a very short period of time. Secondly, we get the chance to see where the market is headed, what trends are emerging or leaving. That is very interesting for us. Finally, we hear about new investment ideas and opportunities.

Are you working with any of the managers?
We have invested in a number of funds. Out of the 15 we meet at every event, we do follow-ups with five and invest in at least one. With some managers we have invested in multiple funds; in one instance it is ten funds with one manager. The total amount invested is tens of millions.

Could you have made these investments anyway without your one-to-one meetings?
No. Most of them I did not know before. That is one of the benefits of the Summit, being able to meet people you would not encounter any other way. Even if I could meet them, it would be much more time consuming.

How efficient do you find the one-to-one meeting format?
It is a very good format to present different fund and asset managers. We can meet many people in very little time.

Do you attend other industry events? How does this compare with those?
Yes, I do. What I like about marcus evans events are the one-to-one meetings and the presentations. The Summits are more exclusive than some large conferences, so we have time to ask questions and build a relationship with other attendees, as we see them multiple times over two days.
The presentations provide lots of food for thought. I make notes and discuss their insights with colleagues.
