What are the anticipated trends in the SAM toolbox and its further implication on the AM role?

SAM tools will increasingly leverage AI for predictive analytics, which will require AMs to interpret and act on data-driven insights. SAM will need to address sustainability goals, requiring AMs to incorporate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors into account strategies. Virtual communication tools will continue to be essential, necessitating strong digital communication skills for AMs.

What, for you, are the benefits of attending this Strategic Account Management conference, and what can attendees expect to learn from your presentation?

For me it is to learn from industry experts, gaining insights into the latest SAM trends and best practices. I would like to connect with peers and potential partners, expanding my network. Also, I like to gain fresh perspectives on SAM challenges and solutions from my peers. From my presentation, attendees can expect to learn about the evolving SAM landscape and the tools and strategies that are driving success for value bases strategies. I will discuss practical insights, real-world examples, and actionable takeaways to improve strategic account management practices.

How have SAM processes evolved in the last few years?

The business landscapes have evolved drastically starting with the integration of digital technologies which have streamlined data collection, analysis, and communication, making SAM more data-driven and efficient. SAM now places a greater emphasis on understanding the unique needs and expectations of each strategic account, allowing for more personalized service. SAM teams have adopted collaboration tools and platforms, enhancing internal and external communication, which is critical for remote collaboration on account management.

What are the key challenges in initiating and maintaining sustainable partnerships in such high volatility market?

Rapid changes in market conditions can disrupt long-term planning and necessitate frequent adjustments. Furthermore, intense competition can strain relationships as customers may explore alternatives more frequently. High volatility often means evolving customer demands, requiring agility and adaptability. Maintaining high service levels and personalized support can be difficult when resources are stretched.
