1. How has the recent climate changed your approach to third-party risk and vendor management?
Working in a highly regulated industry, we were more prepared to cope with the series of events that had unfolded since 2019.
Priorities shifted, and resources were allocated to a more focused area, such as Covid vaccine development and vaccine industrialization. The whole supply chain did not collapse because it was built on a resilient platform with embedded capacity margins, rigorous supply chain mapping, and a proactive risk management approach. For sure, some of the steps were missing or not done correctly, but the clarity of processes was there.
If anything, the late crisis, brought us a more conscious and proactive approach and a refinement of tools and methods

Create Effective Vendor’s Performance Evaluation Process

· Performance evaluation and monitoring as an essential part of successful relationship
· Review your key performance indicators
· Engage your vendor in the performance management process
Speakers at this Conference Include:
2. What are the key drivers for an effective TPRM?
The first and maybe only point is the overall realization from the business that risk management is not just about avoiding disruptions and being compliant, but is about protecting shareholder equity and long-term company value, brand value, and so on; once that realization is there, the rest, to oversimplify it, is just implementation of different available tools and much common sense.
3. What could be some of the future trends within the TPRM processes and solutions?
Complexity, driven by new or amended regulations and their consequent compliance, will drive a more systemic approach to risk management.
While big players can resource and staff the function adequately, small players will have to navigate the complexity and the translation of the regulations alone; this will probably develop a constellation of many service offerings.
4. What do you hope to gain by attending this Third-Party Risk and Vendor Management conference edition?
All good topics on the agenda, but at the end of the day, I hope I can get a set of new ideas and new approaches to build a more resilient supply chain. While the delegates are from a variety of industries, the skills sets are always transversal.
